Josef Schöffmann

Josef Schöffmann, born in Salzburg in 1962, attended the “Oskar Kokoschka” School of Painting and studied classical drawing and painting with Prof. Werner Tübke in Dresden and Prof. Eisler in Vienna. Since 1995, he has worked as a freelance artist in Vienna.

His works have been shown at international art fairs such as Art Miami and Art Marbella, and have been exhibited in renowned museums and galleries in Europe and the USA. In addition to painting and drawing, he also devotes himself to installations and film work, such as the multiple award-winning film Healing.

With the series Healing Pictures, which has been presented internationally since 2007, Schöffmann combines art with a spiritual, healing approach. Numerous exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the USA have also made him known internationally.

In addition, he initiated projects such as Lipizzaner Art and Panda Art in collaboration with the WWF and Tiergarten Schönbrunn, and worked on art installations for major public spaces, hotels, and cultural events.

Today, Josef Schöffmann lives and works in Vienna, and in his artistic practice he combines classical painting with contemporary forms of expression, film, and interdisciplinary projects.
