Transfer of personal data abroad

As a rule, we process your personal data in Switzerland. We may transfer your data to service providers based abroad (currently: the EU and the USA) for the purposes of the processing activities described in this privacy policy.

If the data protection regulations in the destination country do not provide protection equivalent to Swiss data protection law (e.g. in the USA), we agree the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) with the service providers and, where necessary, implement additional technical and organisational measures.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer permanently or temporarily when you visit this website. The purpose of cookies is, in particular, to analyse the use of this website for statistical evaluation and for continuous improvements.

Opt-out option

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, in whole or in part. If cookies are disabled, you may no longer be able to use all functions of this website.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google IE”), Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland, or Google Inc. (“Google US”), 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA.

Google Analytics uses methods that enable an analysis of website usage. These collect information about your use, such as:

  • Navigation path a visitor takes on the website
  • Time spent on the website and subpages
  • The subpage on which the website is exited
  • The country, region, or city from which access occurs
  • End device (type, version, colour depth, resolution, width and height of the browser window)
  • Returning or new visitor
  • Browser/version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL (previously visited website)
  • Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of the server request

This information is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. The IP address is shortened on our website before transmission. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these cases, we ensure through contractual guarantees—particularly by agreeing the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and additional measures—that Google maintains an adequate level of data protection.
The information is used to evaluate the use of the website, for market research purposes, and to improve the design of our website. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process this data on Google’s behalf.

Google Maps

We use the Google Maps API from Google IE or Google US on our website for the visual display of geographical information (maps). By using Google Maps, information about the use of our website, including your IP address, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Further information about the collection, processing, and use of your data by Google and your rights in this regard can be found here:

Mailchimp

This website uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

MailChimp is a service that can be used, among other things, to organise and analyse the sending of newsletters. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. email address), it is stored on MailChimp servers in the USA.

MailChimp is certified under the “EU-US Privacy Shield”. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the USA intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards in the USA.

With the help of MailChimp, we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open an email sent with MailChimp, a file contained in the email (a so-called web beacon) connects to MailChimp servers in the USA. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of retrieval, IP address, browser type, and operating system). This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient. It is used exclusively for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to recipients’ interests.

If you do not want analysis by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe directly on the website.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you are removed from the newsletter list and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter, both from our servers and from MailChimp’s servers. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected.

For more details, please refer to MailChimp’s privacy policy at: https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

Leadinfo

We use the lead generation service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, Netherlands. This service identifies visits by companies to our website based on IP addresses and shows us publicly available information such as company names or addresses. In addition, Leadinfo sets two first-party cookies to evaluate user behaviour on our website and processes domains from form entries (e.g. “leadinfo.com“) to correlate IP addresses with companies and improve the services. Further information can be found at www.leadinfo.com. On this page: www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out you have an opt-out option. If you opt out, your data will no longer be collected by Leadinfo.

Teambox

Company data as well as personal data are collected and processed for business purposes in our ERP software TEAMBOX. The data is hosted and stored by the provider (EU). We refer to the privacy policy of the everii Group. https://everii.webflow.io/de/rechtliches

Social media plugins

We offer the option to share our content via common social media platforms. For this purpose, we use a technical solution that only transmits data to the platforms of third-party providers when you actively use the relevant functionality (e.g. Like button).

Data processing in connection with third-party platforms

We are present on third-party platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. We have no influence over the data protection settings of these third-party platforms.

The operators of the third-party platforms (e.g. for Facebook: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) process your data for their own purposes. The third-party platforms also use cookies that allow them to track user behaviour on other websites and apps of the group. This applies in particular if you are already registered on these third-party platforms. Further details can be found in the operators’ respective privacy information www.facebook.com, www.instagram.com, www.linkedin.com.
We receive certain information from the operator of the third-party platforms, such as anonymised analyses.

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised, unlawful, or accidental access, processing, loss, and manipulation.

Contact and complaints

If you have any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the processing of your personal data, you may contact the address provided above.
