Elena Parris

The Dissolution of Photography

Elena Parris once broke taboos with a fighting spirit, shocking and provoking.
Today, the Swiss artist continues to push boundaries, namely
those of conventional, classical photography.
For several years, Elena Parris has successfully established herself as a photographic artist and image creator of a new kind. After an excursion into architecture, she devoted herself passionately to photography. She studied fine arts at UDK Berlin and worked alongside various renowned photographers, including Helmut Newton. Parris was engaged at the Cannes Film Festival, worked with top model Markus Schenkenberg, and was commissioned by magazines such as “ELLE,” “Amica,” “annabelle,” “Faces,” and many others.
The artist demonstrates through her works that photography is no longer
an end in itself, but rather a proven medium for creating images.

After many successful years in commercially oriented photography, after stints in metropolises such as New York and Berlin,
the poetically contemplative tableaus now emerge.

Elena Parris plays with techniques by layering images to
escape any form of realism.

The works of Elena Parris are distinguished by an unmistakable
signature. Parris has had numerous exhibitions worldwide,
from Berlin to Shanghai, from Tbilisi to Zurich.
